NewMarket Technology, Inc. Announces $5.6 Million Contract to
Provide Microsoft Managed Services

DALLAS, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Aug 26, 2008 -- NewMarket Technology,
Inc. (OTC BB:NMKTE.OB - News) today announced an agreement to provide
managed technology support services for a major telecommunication
company in South America. The client has requested their information
remain confidential. The $5.6 million contract calls for NewMarket to
support the client's Microsoft infrastructure through the end of 2009.

NewMarket Technology provides services in South America through two
regional subsidiaries -- UniOne Consulting in Brazil and Chile and RKM
IT Solutions in Venezuela. RKM is a Microsoft Large Account Reseller
and Enterprise Software Advisor (LAR/ESA) partner and UniOne is a
leading Oracle partner.
Separately, NewMarket recently announced year-to-date results for
its Latin American business of $12.6 million in profitable revenue
with a regional goal of $30 million for 2008 through all its
operations in Brazil, Chile and Venezuela. NewMarket globally reported
$93.1 million in profitable revenue in 2007 across all Company
operations.
NewMarket Managed Services
A few months ago, NewMarket announced a consolidation of the
Company's global technology service operations to support the growth
of the Company's recurring revenue business. NewMarket has a board
base of recurring customers globally and is working to convert
repeated customer business into recurring managed services revenue.
Bruce Noller was named to lead the consolidated operations as the
President of NewMarket Managed Services. The operations consolidated
under NewMarket Managed Services account for approximately $70 million
in annual revenue.
Since the consolidation, NewMarket has been allowed to announce two
other managed service contracts:
-- $10.5 Million Managed Services Contract with Wireless Broadband
Access (WBA) Telecommunications, S.A.
-- $4 Million Managed Services Contract with Telefonica's Movistar
