Verges Highlights the Ongoing Success of Small Business in a Big
Business Culture and the Social, Political and Economic Role of Small
Business in the Future
DALLAS, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--May 13, 2008 -- NewMarket Technology,
Inc. (OTC BB:NMKT.OB - News) today released a position paper from
founder and CEO Philip Verges to communicate a vision for the role of
small business in the global economy. The paper draws on Verges'
personal experiences since launching a family business that has grown
and evolved over the last ten years to report $93.1 million in revenue
in 2007 with $7.3 million in net income. The paper illustrates the
challenges faced by small business in a big business culture, even
though the small business sector contributes more jobs to the global
economy and represents a larger percentage of the global gross
domestic product than big business. The paper points out the current
proliferation of small business public markets around the world as an
early sign of the major social, political and economic role to be
played by small business in the future. The release of the position
paper titled "It's a Small Business World After All" has been timed to
coincide with the strategic plan update Webcast scheduled for later
today.
