"China in the World Economy" Global Business Forum

Dr. Larry Wu, Vice President of Business Development for NewMarket and NewMarket China has been invited to present at Baylor University’s upcoming Global Business Forum. The forum, titled "China in the World Economy" is hosted by the McBride Center for International Business at Baylor University and will feature Chinese scholars and economic experts discussing China's impact on the United States, Europe and developing economies. Dr. Wu will be presenting Thursday, February 28 at 9:30 AM CST. NewMarket China, Inc., and the Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association (SMIA) will host a US tour to show case the talents of eight cutting-edge Shanghai-based Chinese multimedia companies with a host of capabilities including gaming, digital animation, computer graphic design, and film post production. The Shanghai-based multimedia companies are leaders of their industry in the Chinese market. These companies are now expanding their businesses into the United States through outsourcing partnerships with NewMarket China and as ambassadors for the Multimedia Industry in Shanghai.

The SMIA, a member of the International Federation of Multimedia Associations (IFAM), is the authority on the multimedia industry in Shanghai. With more than 148 member companies, the SMIA has set up a broad network with associations and organizations in more than ten countries, as well as close relationships with the government, media and various corporations throughout China.
